The personal assistant to the president on social media Lauretta Onochie, has said people of the southeast have proved that they love President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking on Buhari’s visit to Ebonyi state, Onochie in a Facebook post on Wednesday, November 15, said many Ndigbos showed their love for the president by turning up in their colourful traditional regalia to welcome Buhari at an event in Ebonyi state on Tuesday, November 14.
She faults the spokesperson of IPOB, Emmanuel Powerful for declaring that the southeast was a no go areas for the president.
Onochie said Nigeria belongs to Nigerians. And there was no go area for anyone.

Meanwhile, a former presidential candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP) and elder statesman, Chief Chekwas Okorie has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the southeast has given hope to the people.
According to a report, Okorie, the people of the region had now realised that they have not been forgotten in the scheme of things.
Speaking with newsmen on Tuesday, Okorie described the visit as a welcome development but used the opportunity to appeal to the President to schedule more of such official visits to the region.
