NITDA scholarship
In 2010, The National Information Technology Development Agency established a scholarship scheme for Doctoral and Master’s degrees in relevant areas of IT and ICT Laws accessible in Nigerian Universities. This scholarship is available for all students who want to study within the IT industry at a Nigerian University.
Eligibility requirements:
- The applicant should be a Nigerian citizen.
- For the Ph.D.: Only Polytechnic and University Lecturers with MSc in any IT connected field can apply.
- For the MSc: 1st or 2nd Class (Upper) Honours Bachelor’s degree holders in IT connected field and Law can apply. The registration time is about six weeks after the Newspaper publication. Then a comprehensive Aptitude Test will be carried out to shortlist successful candidates for the grant.
- The applicant should be ready to study in a state, private, or federal University in Nigeria.

About the scholarship
The main points of the scholarship are:
1) The MSc (Masters) programme will take place over the course of twelve months.
2) The Ph.D. (Doctorate) programme will proceed over the course of three years.
3) This scholarship covers only IT related courses.
4) The scholarship is solely based on the merit and is evenly spread between the 6 geopolitical zones for the Ph.D., 36 States and FCT for the MSc.
5) As for the Masters Programme sponsorship, it will run for one year, and the Doctorate Programme for about three years.
