The House of Representatives ad hoc panel on Tuesday, November 14, grilled the Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru and other officials of the corporation behind closed-door over the Treasury Single Account (TSA).
Daily Trust reports that Alex Adeyemi, a representative of the auditor general of the federation, Ahmed Idris was also grilled.

N AIJ.com gathered that Journalists and other support staff of the panel were shut out of the meeting, which was initially billed to hold publicly.
The ad hoc panel, chaired by Rep Abubakar Nuhu Danburam , is investigating the status of TSA, which is said to have raked in trillions of naira since its inception in 2015.
The panel had summoned Baru and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor Godwin Emefiele over the status of the TSA.
While Baru led the NNPC team, Emefiele requested for a new date to appear, which the lawmakers obliged.
A member of the panel, Hassan Saleh moved that the meeting be held in closed-door “in view of the sensitive nature of the matter at hand.”
The motion was seconded by Dickson Tarkhighir.

But before the closed-door, Danburam reminded the CBN and the office of the AGF, to provide both the reconciliation and the audited reports on the TSA before the end of this month.
