And in an exclusive chat with the Irish Mirror, the superstar has revealed why he hates wearing his medals and why food has always been his driving force.
The 31-year-old Jamaican has always been pretty chilled out about nutrition - which is just as well as his favourite tipple is the 125-calorie Irish stout.
At his music and sport bar - Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records, in Kingston, Jamaica - he snubs posh cocktails on the menu for a pint black stuff.

He told the Irish Mirror: “Yeah I just normally drink Guinness. I don’t really have a special cocktail drink, so it’s Guinness.
“Perfect with pork, any pork. It doesn’t have to be made by anyone special, just any pork. Any pork dish is fine with me.

“My second world 100m record at the 2008 Olympics was fuelled by McDonald’s chicken nuggets but these days my guilty food secret is mostly KFC and hot wings."
Bolt has been filming in Atlanta, Georgia as part of his #GameOn series for PokkerStars with comic Kevin Hart and spoke to the Irish Mirror while he was there.

And the 31-year-old opened up about his life including how he very first bet was all around a subject close to his heart - food.
“I’ve always loved food and competition. I raced my friend Ricardo Gedes when we were 12 years old to win a bet over a free lunch.
"To be fair, the prize was a lunch box which was rice and a piece of chicken. You don’t mess about with that and I’ve always been very competitive.

"I go slow in everything else that I do really. I just run fast. That’s pretty much it though.”
But despite his huge success, Bolt does not wear his medals except for photoshoots to mark his sprinting career.
And now he is looking to find new ventures for the moment when his active sporting life comes to an end.
He said: “I don’t wear my medals. I just don’t. At some point I’ve got to stop running I don’t know exactly what I’ll do. People always say I should write a book and I think I will - but I know I won’t.
“But we have the bar. We just wanted to do different ventures so, why not a bar?”
Bolt has been quite open in the fact he wants to start a career in football, with a trial for Boruissa Dortmund rumoured to be in the offing.
And if he never gets the chance to play for his precious Manchester United, he says he will continue to support his favourite players Ruud van Nistelrooy and Cristiano Ronaldo, he also added that he will be backing Argentina for the World Cup.

He said: “ I’ll not be attending any of the matches, not this year but maybe the next World Cup. So I’m supporting Argentina this year - they’re my winners.”
But for now Bolt is spending most of his down time with his comedian pal Kevin Hart.

The pair are involved in the #GameOn series for PokerrStars and they have been having a lot of fun promoting the series - even facing each other in a bath of ice to see who would last the longest.
Bolt said: “It’s always good hanging out with Kevin and hopefully we get to do more work together. I’m a fan. It’s good to be here on the shoot working with him.
"Although he’s intimidating .. no, nah, nah, he’s cool man. He’s hard working, dedicated person.
“And with the pokker, well I’m not that good but there’s always room for improvement over time. I know that with training you get better. So, with practice, I’ll get better.
“I’m guess I’m just a hard-working, dedicated person. I just try to do my best to live up to the hype. I’d say my dedication and how I work, and the fact I never give up no matter what is what gets me through.
“I always just push on and work on and I have the confidence to go to the top.”
