Olamide Adedeji, who is known to all Nigerians simply as Olamide, is a Nigerian rapper, brand ambassador, beloved father, and successful businessman. Olamide occupies the position of CEO in one of the fastest growing record labels in Nigeria named YBNL Nation, and in addition to that, he is probably the wealthiest Nigerian rapper. In our century of piracy, downloading and quick file sharing, Olamide makes "dope money," but he does not just earn money by making music.

Olamide was born on 15 March 1989 in Bariga, Lagos state in Nigeria. He went to both primary and secondary schools in Lagos, and he obtained higher education in Thai University, where he got a degree in Public communications.
Olamide started his career in professional music industry in 2010, when he presented his first single titled "Eni Duro" to the world. This single was released under the famous label Coded Tunes. Later Olamide signed a contract with the company. The song managed to receive critical acclaim and rapidly placed Olamide into the spotlight.

In 2011, Olamide recorded his first album titled "Rapsodi," where collaborated with several popular Nigerian artists such as ID Cabasa, Wizkid, Dbanj, 9ice and Reminisce. Needless to say, the album had become a huge success and brought lots of fans to Olamide.
However, Olamide did not relent when his first album became a hit in 2012, and he continued working to release the second album titled "YBNL" which made him one of the greatest Nigerian rappers. This album contained some hit singles, such as "First of All," "Ilefo Illuminati", "Durosoke" and "Owotabua." And again, the album, where several famous Nigerian artists like Tiwa Savage, Dammy Krane, Kayswitch, and Samklef featured, was received pretty warmly.
In 2013, another album titled "Baddest Guy Ever Liveth" was released which had hit singles and they became extremely popular among Nigerian fans of rap music. But Olamide kept going and in 2014 he recorded an album titled "Street OT", where he collaborated with different Nigerian musicians, and this collaboration worked out pretty well.
One of the attributes which helped Olamide to keep his place on the top of Nigerian professional music, is his ability to stay away from scandals and his professional work ethic. And we can see it by the number of albums that he has recorded in a short amount of time. It is also worth noting, that Olamide has also been nominated for several national and international awards.
In 2013, Olamide got the chance to become the first Nigerian who signed a endorsement deal with Ciroc, and people say that this deal might have exceeded N30Million. In the same year, he signed another deal, which made him a brand ambassador for "Guinness" which cost of over N80Million
Besides the fact that he is a talented and hardworking musician and one of the best Nigerian rappers known today, Olamide is also a great father. He has a son with his girlfriend, Adesunkanmi Aisha Suleiman.
