Atiku Abubakar, former vice president has commended Coalition of Northern Youth Groups (CNYG) for suspending their October 1 quit notice given to the Igbos living the northern part of Nigeria.
Abubakar who on Thursday, August 24, made this known in a statement by his media office in Abuja said ''At last, good judgment has prevailed'', New Telegraph reports.
NAIJ.com recalled that groups in May issued a quit notice to Igbo living in the Northern part of the country.

According to him, I appealed to the groups and the Arewa youths council to go the whole hog and drop any other condition given to people of Igbo origin living in northern Nigeria or anywhere else in the country because ''Reconciliation must be total or else it is pyrrhic''.
Waziri Adamawa however called on other ethnic groups that might have issued counter quit notices to as well withdraw them.

He however lauded President Muhammadu Buhari over recent speech asking other elder-statesmen in the country to support the president to condemn anything that can hinder Nigeria’s unity.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported the CNYG withdrawn the quit notice issued Nigerians of the Igbo extraction to leave the 19 Northern states by October 1.
