Cristiano Ronaldo has become the joint top goalscorer in one World Cup qualifying campaign in the history of Europe after hat-trick against Faroe Island.
The Real Madrid star scored a hat-trick in his side's 5 - 1 win over Faroe Islands to take his tally to 14 goals.
Ronaldo is also the second highest goalscorer ever in international football with 78 goals for Portugal.

The only other with that same number of goals is Predrag Mijatović who scored 14 for Yugoslavia in the 1998 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign.
Nelson Oliviera and William Carbalho were the other goalscorers for Portugal in that match.
Belgium defeated Gibraltar 9 - 1 in their clash with Romelu Lukaku and Thomas Munier of PSG both grabbing hat-tricks. Axel Witsel, Dries Mertens and Eden Hazard were the other goalscorers.
The biggest match of the night saw France and Netherlands clash with the former running out 4 - 0 winners in Paris.

Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring before Kevin Strootman was sent off for the Dutch. That opened the floodgates as Thomas Lemar scored twice and newly signed PSG star Kylian Mbappe scoring the fourth.
