It was an emotional moment for the Super Eagles on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 as they honored Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme who was diagnosed of Leukemia.
Ikeme who has been the Super Eagles first choice goalie since the retirement of Vincent Enyeama is currently under treatment in England and will be out of Nigeria's subsequent games.
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and some of his players met with the media on Wednesday afternoon as they vowed that they will win their game against Cameroon for Carl Ikeme.
''I always think and pray for him everyday, and I want to wish him quick recovery as we will beat the Cameroonians as an honor for him,'' Super Eagles captain Mikel explained.
