The coalition of northern groups had on Thursday August 24, in Abuja withdrawn its order to all Igbos residing in the north to vacate the region before October 1, 2017.
But reacting to the withdrawal of the notice, IPOB in a statement made available to NAIJ.com by its media and publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful on Friday, August 25, asked all southerners in the north to return home before October 1 to avoid being attacked in the region.
IPOB warned that the withdrawal of the notice does not mean that Igbo lives and property are no longer endangered in the north as history had shown.
The group said southerners were killed northern region in 1966 and 1967 after similar assurances were issued then that people should remain in the north.
IPOB said: “The presence of a serving governor and senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during the supposed press briefing confirms what we have always known that the incitement to genocide which is what then 'quit notice' is all about, has the blessing of the Arewa political class.
"It betrays the mindset of those clamouring for One Nigeria as irredeemable blood thirsty psychopaths shielded hiding behind ethnic bigotry to unleash what will amount to the 15 mass murder of non indigenes resident in core Arewa North. If President Buhari is at all serious about clamping down on hate speech, he should arrest those behind the 'quit notice' along with their sponsors.”

The group slammed the Arewa youths for demanding for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and reiterated its quest to restore Biafra.
It said: Our quest to restore Biafra is unstoppable and the sooner the Islamic Arewa North knows this, the better for everyone. If Nigeria has any case against Nnamdi Kanu they should present it before the law courts not recruiting barely literate street urchins to issue a threat of mass extermination of Igbos living in the North.
We are not afraid of the fabled Fulani hegemonic juggernaut that has literally steamrolled every other ethnicity in Nigeria into submission because we are Biafrans. Threats don't have any effect on us, so our advice to Arewa North is to please stick to the October 1 deadline or else they have no honour.
Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) insisted that he was born to restore Biafra and could not afford to fail God together with his people who are yearning for emancipation.
Reports have it that Kanu noted in Umuahia, Abia state that there were no signs that injustices against people of the south east could ever be addressed through restructuring.
NAIJ.com gathered that the IPOB leader told his followers to disregard reports that he dropped his demand for the actualization of Biafra.
He said the restoration of Biafra is not negotiable, saying that there is no amount of blackmail or intimidation will make him give up the struggle.
