A Facebook user by name Chidi Cadet Nwanyanwu, has narrated how his uncle was allegedly attacked on the way to his farm by a Fulani herdsman.

Nwanyanwu in a post on Friday, August 25, disclosed that the attack reportedly occurred on Thursday, August 24, soon after his uncle exchange pleasantries with the herdsman in Hausa language along the way to the farm.

"This is my Uncle Ndubueze Oboro, from Ozalla in nkanu Local Government Area of Enugu state.(Graphic section of this image has been covered for obvious reasons).
"He was attacked yesterday on his way to his farm by a Fulani cattle herdsman he had just exchanged pleasantries with in Hausa language, haven been a butcher in Benin /Warri with fluent mastery of the Hausa language. he had turned to continue walking to his farm when he was attacked from the back narrowly missing his head.

"He screamed for help and was rescued by the village youths who apprehended the man and handed him over to the police. I dont know what else to say Chidi Cadet Nwanyanwu (President, Nigerian Canadian Association Toronto)."

Meanwhile, Fulani herdsmen residing in Benue have been ordered by the state governor, Samuel Ortom, to ignore a quit notice issued to them by a coalition of middle belt youths, asking them to leave the middle belt before October 1, Vanguard reports.
The governor made his comments in Abuja, the nation’s capital, while fielding questions from journalists.
The governor also condemned the assassination of his special assistant on knowledge, economy and investments, Mr Tavershima Adyorough, by hoodlums.
He charged the state’s security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the deadly act.
