Sensational Nigerian attacker Samuel Adegbenro was the hero in Thursday August 24, 2017 Europa League qualification as Rosenborg edged Ajax 3-2 in a five goals thriller.
Adegbenro came off the bench in the 68th minute to score a brace which eventually helped Rosenborg book a place in the group stage of the competition.

The ex- Kwara international attacker scored in the 80th and 89th minutes of the match, setting the stadium alight.
But it was the second strike that forced the entire Lerkendal Stadion crowd on their feet in obeisance to the 21-year-old.

Ajax have only missed European competition once since the 1966/67 season – in 1990/91 when they were suspended following an incident involving Austrian side Vienna.
