- A plane belonging to the Nigerian Air Force has crashed in Kaduna
- An experienced pilot who was on board lost his life in the fatal crash
The Nigerian Air Force has lost one of its experienced instructor pilot identified as Group Captain Adamu Gabriel Ochai. The pilot was said to have been the only pilot on board when the plane crashed.
The plane crash happened at about 4:25pm on Thursday, August 24 at the permanent site of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) along Kaduna international airport road.
Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, the NAF’s director of public relations an information issued a statement on the crash tagging the incident has being unfortunate.

“A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Beetle Aircraft today crashed in Kaduna while on a mission. The only soul on board the aircraft, one of the NAF’s experienced instructor pilots, was unfortunately lost during the mishap.”

According to Adesanya, the cause of the incident has not yet being determined. Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) has given the order for an inquiry to be made to determine the cause of the crash.

Ochai who was a married man had three adorable daughters before his demise. May his soul rest in peace. A Facebook user presumed to be a close relative of the deceased took to his Facebook page to mourn the death of the pilot.
