An alleged armed robber identified as Obasi Chibuike has been arrested with a bulletproof vest in Abia state.
The suspected thief was caught while pretending to be a traffic warden at Milverton Avenue in Aba area of the state.
NAIJ.com gathered that the suspect fled immediately he sighted police officers.
Several items were confiscated from the suspect after he was caught, including a bulletproof vest, three live cartridges, a jack knife and a passport.

A bulletproof vest is a body armor that stops the impact of the bullet fired from a gun and objects from an explosion. It is worn like a vest over the torso.
According to the police commissioner in Abia state, the suspect revealed that he is a member of a four-man robbery gang.
The commissioner disclosed that an investigation has been launched to apprehend members of the robbery gang.
