A 22-year-old lady identified as Marjona Hudoidodova has tied the knot with 23-year-old Saidsho Asrorovo on orders of Tajikistani’s head of state Emomalii Rahmon.
In the wedding video that was shared on social media, the bride looked miserable while her new husband appeared thrilled and excited with the match.
According to reports, arranged marriages are normal and common the Muslim country but it is also rare for the president to order a match between a man and woman.

NAIJ.com gathered that a matchmaking committee was formed to find the 23-year-old man who is a history teacher a wife.
President Rahmon ordered a match for the history after he read a poem at a gathering attended by the president.

Asrorovo said: "The president asked me about my life and family. He asked if I was married. I answered 'no. Then he instructed the district leadership to decide on my marriage."
The bride said: "The matchmakers communicated with my parents, they agreed to allow me to marry the man on the condition that I am allowed to continue to work. I want to continue working as a nurse in a hospital. My groom agreed that I would continue working."
They got married ten days after the president ordered the marriage.
