But Cameroon must have it at the back of their minds that the last game between them and the Super Eagles ended in a defeat as they were thrashed 3-0 in a friendly game played in 2015.
Super Eagles will be missing the service of Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi who pulled out due to injury, but Nigerian skipper John Obi Mikel has stated emphatically that they will win the match for goalkeeper Carl Ikeme.
''I always pray and think about Carl Ikeme everyday, and I have told my teammates for us to win this match for him as we can't afford to lose the World Cup ticket.
''The family of my girlfriend in Russia are expecting me to come for the World Cup, and they might kill me if we don't qualify,'' Mikel explained.
