Nigeria have qualified for the final of the 2017 WAFU Cup championship after beating Benin Republic 1-0 in a tough semi-final match played on Thursday, September 21.
Kano Pillars' midfielder Rabiu Ali was the hero for the Super Eagles team B scoring the winning goal for Salisu Yusuf's men in the 10th minutes.
Super Eagles started the match impressive with Anthony Okpotu and Ifeanyi tormenting the defense of the Beninese before the breakthrough finally came.

An excellent assist from Lobi Stars' forward Anthony Okpotu gave Rabiu Ali the superb chance to score for the Super Eagles.
But despite playing most of the game with 10 men, Benin players exemplified lots of great display which should have resulted into goals for them.
Nigeria almost scored the second goal at the death through Afeez Aremu, but Benin goalkeeper Fassinou was at full stretch to deny the Super Eagles as the match ended 1-0.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will now face the winner between the second semi-final clash between hosts nation Ghana and Niger Republic in the final on Sunday, September 24.
