The special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, has said President Muhammadu Buhari needs the support of every Nigerian in order to succeed in his efforts to reposition the country.

Femi Adesina made the statement on Thursday, October 19, when he addressed a coalition of Igbo progressive groups under the auspices of the Igbo People of Nigeria at the Unity Fountain in Abuja, The Punch reports.
The deputy director of information, state house, Attah Esa, in a statement disclosed that the presidential aide noted that all parts of the country had a key role to play in the development programmes embarked upon by President Buhari.
“I will like to thank you for this solidarity rally. When you hold a rally like this, it is not for President Muhammadu Buhari alone, but also for the country.
“As the Igbos will always say, we need one another to succeed. We need each other for our country to succeed, and we need to uphold the country for generations unborn,” Adesina was quoted as saying.
The presidential spokesperson said he was impressed that southeasterners value the efforts of the president in ensuring a united and progressive country.

He promised to convey the goodwill of the groups to Buhari when he returns to the country from Turkey.
Meanwhile, Nigerian governors have accused presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, of spreading false information about their meeting with the president.
The governors under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors' Forum (NGF) described as unfortunate reports that President Buhari expressed his displeasure with the governors over unpaid salaries in the states.
Speaking at the State House on Wednesday, October 18, the chairman of the NGF, Abdulaziz Yari, said the governors' meeting with President Buhari was "fruitful".
Yari said the president accepted all the requests made by the governors and asked them to present their cases upon his return from Turkey.
He said members of the forum have been briefed on the meeting with the president which its outcome has been "turned upside down".
