This could leave Vidal moving back to Serie A - where he enjoyed four hugely successful seasons with Juventus - helping them to four consecutive top-flight titles.
Vidal, 30, has found game time hard to come in recent - a 23-minute cameo against Celtic in a 3-0 win on Wednesday evening was his first appearance in almost a month.
