- The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is still nowhere to be found after the military invaded his home
- MASSOB has said whether he is dead or alive, he is a true hero of Biafra
- According to the group, Kanu is not a threat to the existence of Nigeria
The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) has described Nnamdi Kanu as a true hero of Biafra whether dead or alive.
In a statement by its leader, Uchenna Madu, the pro-Biafra group said the missing leader of Indigenous People of Biafra is a determined man, destined for the actualisation of Biafra, The Nation reports.
According to the group, Kanu is championing the struggle for the actualisation and restoration of Biafra and for that reason, he is loved by many.

MASSOBB stated: “Kanu does not pose any danger to Nigeria’s existence; the problem that poses a dangerous extinction to Nigeria’s existence is Hausa/Fulani domination of Nigeria over the general interest of other ethnic nationalities.”
In an earlier report by NAIJ.com, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, the former governor of Abia state while speaking in an interview said the IPOB leader has fled the country.
According to him, Kanu went to Malaysia from where he travelled to the United Kingdom.
"Kanu was not taken away by the military. Kanu went to Malaysia from where he travelled to the United Kingdom. Nnamdi Kanu is in London right now as we speak. He was not arrested by anybody. He left the country on his own," he said.
In reaction, IPOB questioned the paternity of Kalu. The group in a statement by it's publicity secretary, Emma Powerful threatened to drag the former governor alongside the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, to court over the disappearance of its leader.

The group said Kalu needs to come and tell the world what he knows about the whereabouts of Kanu.
