On Thursday, October 19, Enugu state’s Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi put just smiles on the face of a physically challenged woman.
The governor was reported to have gifted the woman a huge sum of N1 million at the flag off of the local government election campaign held by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu.
It was reported that the woman who was identified as Grace Okoye was reported that have been struggling to catch a glimpse of the governor when he sighted and invited her on stage.

Okoye who is also a mother one from Abia state but lives in Enugu was asked what she wanted the governor to do for her. She replied saying the governor should please assist her in taking care of her baby girl.
She took her time to narrate how she sells sachet water to take care of her daughter. This touched the heart of the governor as he made a personal donation of N1 million and also promised to set up a business for her.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi said: “This is not politics. If you are educated we will give you employment but if you are not, an appropriate business will be opened for you.”
