Attahiru Bafarawa, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Monday, November 6, said the ruling All Progressives Congress has indirectly campaigned for PDP to take over in 2019.
Daily Trust reports that Bafarawa called on PDP for fairness, honesty and sincerity ahead of its national convention slated for December 9.
The chieftain who made this known in Sokoto state said the party was on the course to victory if its handlers did the needful in the coming months.

According to him, ''People think it is just a question of 2019. PDP will take over; to me it is not just on a platter of gold. The party should be ready to put its house in order.
''If we hold the convention of December 9 with honesty and sincerity, I believe the party will be setting stage for takeover in 2019.''

He said APC was“campaigning for PDP to take over power judging by its performance in the last three years. The PDP campaigned for APC by not meeting the expectations of Nigerians.
“APC has failed to fulfill the promises it made, so it is campaigning for PDP. It is clearing the way for PDP,'' he said.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the United Nations suggested that the 2019 general elections in Nigeria would be free of violence.
