Mother of the national chairman of the Labour Party, Dr Mike Omotosho has been abducted by four gunmen.
The national chairman while confirming the kidnap of the 71 year old woman said she was abducted at her family house, at No 23, Lobalade street, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State, between 7pm and 8pm on Sunday, November 6, Punch reports.

Ajayi Okasanmi, Kwara state police public relations officer who confirmed the abduction said the state police command had started the process of her rescue.
He called on residents not to panic.
Mike Omotosho however called on members of the public with useful information that will lead to the rescue of his mother to contact the law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that unknown gunmen on Wednesday, November 1, killed Abdulmumini Yakubu, the Kogi state chairman of the National Association of State University (NASU) and his younger brother.
NAIJ.com reported that the killing took place around 7pm while worshipers were performing ablution for the night’s prayers.
