Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and justice minister, honoured the invitation of a Senate panel investigating the controversial reinstatement of the chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, AbdulRasheed Maina, into the service.
The Punch reports that Maina arrived the room 224 venue of the investigative hearing at the time of 12pm, but met an empty room.
The time given for his appearance, according to the report, coincided with the day’s plenary. This made the minister wait for the arrival of members of the panel.
He was ushered out of the empty room about 15 minutes later by a staff of the National Assembly after which the venue was locked.
