A Nigerian man who graduated from the University of Ibadan has been granted a masters scholarship to study at a prestigious university in the United States.
The man identified as Daniel Kenechukwu Nkemelu was granted the scholarship to study at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA.
It was gathered that the scholarship was granted for masters in electrical and computer engineering.

Nkemelu was awarded the scholarship at the university’s convocation ceremony on Monday, November 12.
He graduated as the best student in the school with a 7.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average out of a maximum of 7.0.

According to reports, 186 students graduated with first class while 1,538 graduated with second class upper division.
3,133 graduated with second class lower division while 434 graduated with third class and 81 students were said to have graduated with a pass.

The university’s 69th anniversary programme continues till Friday, November 17, which is the founder’s day and the award of doctoral degrees.
