Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has lambasted Gareth Southgate for playing Phil Jones in an inconsequential friendly match against Germany at Wembley.
Jones started against Germany but failed to finish game due to injury as he limped off before half time with a thigh niggle.
Speaking ahead of United's game against Newcastle, Mourinho revealed his frustration after Jones was risked in the friendly game.

He said: “I don’t think it’s possible for a player with a problem to play in a friendly.
“Of course, Phil Jones had a problem. He was having a problem for three weeks, he’s having problems that are stopping him playing for his club.
"And then he plays for his club in extreme conditions because it’s a big match against Chelsea.
“Then he goes to the national team and he comes home with an ongoing injury that everyone knows is an ongoing injury.”
Mourinho claims he was “naïve” for letting Jones join up with the England squad when other Premier League bosses withdraw their star players.
