The Anambra state police command has denied reports that the aide-de-camp of Governor Willie Obiano was withdrawn from him few weeks to the gubernatorial election in the state.
The governor had on Tuesday, November 14, during a stakeholder meeting raised an alarm that his security aide had been withdrawn from him.
According to a report by Daily Trust, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state, Princess Nkeiru Nwode, on Wednesday, November 16, said that the aide was only invited for debriefing and had since been redeployed back to the governor.

She said: "The ADC was never removed neither was he redeployed. He was only recalled for proper briefing on how to effectively discharge his duties according to the law to avoid electoral offenses."
Nwode added that there are over 221 police officers in the government house, and recalling the governor's ADC was not out of place.
She said the recalling of policemen attached to dignatories was a routine practice of the force.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate return of the security aides of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state.
This was contained in a statement by Femi Adesina who is the special adviser to the president on media and publicity on Wednesday, November 15.
