Born on August 17, 1977, Thierry Henry is a retired French professional footballer who played as a striker and he is currently the second assistant manager of the Belgium national team.
Henry who is known for his superb pace during his playing days started his professional football career at French club Monaco before making his debut in 1994.
His superb performances at Monaco paved ways for him into the national team, and he was part of the French team that won the FIFA World Cup in 1998.
Henry later joined Italian club Juventus in 1999, but he left the same year for a move to Premier League club Arsenal where he spent 8 years and remains the Gunners' all-time record goalscorer with 228 goals.
