Barcelona star attacker, Lionel Messi, has admitted in a candid interview that his five year old son Thiago plays better in football than his other son Mateo who is still two years old.
Messi, 30, has high hopes for his eldest in terms of taking after him - but his kids will have to go some to match his incredible record.

While speaking to TyC Sports, Messi said: "They’re very different. "Thiago is a phenomenon, really good. And the other, the exact opposite: he's 'a son of a b*tch"

The Argentine captain used the colloquial term 'hijo de puta' as a humorous indictment on Mateo's ability, rather than an insult towards his youngest and wife Antonella Roccuzzo.
He added: "Mateo is terrible. It’s really good seeing how different they are. Mateo does play a bit of football, right-footed. He’s more coordinated. He hits it well. But, he’s small.
"Thiago likes cars, motorcycles, he likes soccer, but even then he plays a little bit and gets tired."

The tricky Barcelona forward was named as a substitute for each of Barcelona's last two Champions League group games against Juventus and Sporting Lisbon.
But he insists has no problem with the rotation policy, and even admitted he needs a rest from time to time.

He said: "I have learned that the season is long, that there are times which are harder than others because the years fly by and now my body pays the price for playing in so many matches,"
"I realised that sometimes not playing is for the best."
