A young man identified as @ibra_himyusuf on Twitter has come out to reveal how someone refused to scam him because they are both from Nigeria.
Yusuf disclosed that he was trying to sell his phone when he met the scammer. After the deal has been sealed the scammer then asked if he was from Nigeria and the deal was cancelled immediately.
It did not stop there as the scammer advised him on how not to fall victim of such people again. The young man made a screenshot of the conversation and shared it on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, December 6.

Part of the scammer’s message reads: “Great! Let me have your PayPal email address so I can make payment right away and you’d ship when? Are you a Nigerian? Have my reasons so please try to answer my question.”
The person confirmed being a Nigerian and the scammer added that: “I’m about to scam you but I won’t do that. I’m also a Nigerian. I be omo Naija but I can’t bad belle you. Okay! Please let me advice you so you won’t get scammed, I know what we all do. You can sell your phone but only on eBay! Don’t text anyone or give your PayPal email address out cos we’re going to send you a fake payment. Leave the post on eBay till you get notified that the item has been sold. If after that then make sure you get funds pending in your actual balance or else it’s not a legit payment okay?”
