Governor Al-Makura gives out a car to support a physically challenged woman

Nasarawa state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has fufilled his promise to 25-years-old physically challenged Fatima Musa.

The governor who spotted Fatima while passing through the Lafia city center being carried in a wheelbarrow stopped to give an helping hand.

The governor had a chat with the mother of 2, Fatima Musa, who had deformed hands and legs and has to be carried around to beg.

He however gave her some money and asked her if there was anything she would like him to do for her to which she responded that she needs a car to be carried around in, instead of the wheelbarrow being used presently.

According to NTA, the Nasarawa state governor replied with a smile saying; "your wish had been granted and she should be brought to the Government House the next day to collect her car".

Ta’al Circle reported that at the Government House the next day, Fatima Musa was gifted with the keys of a Toyota Corolla and N200,000 to fuel and get a driver to take her home to Bauchi state.

Fatima with a tearful eyes received the car keys and thanked the governor for his kindness, saying an open prayer for him and the state asking the heavens to shower blessings on him and allow him accomplish all he has set out to do.

Everyone present had to hold back tears as Fatima was put in the car and governor Almakura helped put on her seat belt, before the car frove off with her old wheelbarrow in the boot.

Speaking at the presentation of the car His Excellency, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura said that “we are all the same and should assist the less privilege never looking down at them, we assist each other and God assists us all.”
