Group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Maikanti Baru has made a quick return from his London trip to tackle fuel in Nigeria.
Daily Sun reports that Baru was due to receive the Forbes oil and gas man of the year award 2017, on Tuesday, December 5.

He had to fly back to the country because of what he called ''matter of urgent national importance.''
According to a press release sighed by Ndu Ughamadu, the NNPC spokesman, ''For the umpteenth time, I wish to call on all Nigerians to stop panic buying.

''We have said times without number that NNPC has sufficient products to cater for the needs of all consumers.''
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that scarcity of petroleum product has hit some parts of Lagos and Ogun states as many filling stations visited have no products.
The Ojodu axis of Lagos, only NNPC station was seen selling fuel as other petrol stations were locked and in Akute area of Ogun state, most petrol stations were shut.
