The minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi has declined to speak with journalists in Lagos during his visit to the Lagos House, Ikeja, on Thursday, December 7, Punch reports.

NAIJ.com gathered that Amaechi met with the the governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, for an hour, after which journalists approached him but he declined to speak with them, saying "I don't want to be misquoted."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that Amaechi, reportedly said it was time the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari moved away from criticising past administrations and focus on service delivery.

Amaechi spoke about countries like Singapore noting that for Nigeria to move on, it was time to stop the blame game and talking about what the past administrations could not achieve.
The minister also advocated for the provisions of smart and intelligent transport systems, just like in the developed world.
