Barcelona were dealt a major blow in the 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo on Saturday December 2 when French defender Samuel Umtiti pulled off injured.
The Spanish giants are now ready to go for Colombian defender Yerry Mina who plays for Brazilian outfit Palmerias as a possible replacement for Umtiti in January.
The Colombian has been a long-term target for the Catalans and they have option to buy for just £7.9million.

But they had wanted him play out the remainder of the season with Palmeiras to keep an eye on his development.

With Javier Macherano already out injured, Umtiti's injury now means Valverde has only Gerard Pique and Thomas Vermalean as the only fit Center backs at the Camp Nou.
Mina, 23, was one of the stand-out players of the Palmeiras team which won the regional title in 2016.
While, he also has an impressive goal scoring record, with three in nine appearances for Colombia.
