Argentine football star Lionel Messi is now said to be aware of Manchester United's interest to sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti at the end of the season.
Manchester United are planning to spend big in the summer as the Red Devils' coach Jose Mourinho has made a list of some players he wants.
Frenchman Samuel Umtiti is among the players Manchester United are planning to sign at the end of the season as Mourinho wants to boost his defense.
But according to the report by Diario Gol, Lionel Messi is currently livid with Manchester United's approach to sign Umtiti and he has reportedly told Barcelona chiefs to rubbish any bid from United.
Messi is also said to have told Barcelona chiefs to open contact talks with Umtiti as soon as possible to ward off interest from the Old Trafford club.

Previously, NAIJ.com had reported how Argentine football star Lionel Messi reportedly told Barcelona chiefs not to sign French professional and Lyon star Nabil Fekir at the end of the season.
The Frenchman is said to be a target for Barcelona in the summer, but Lionel Messi does not want to play with him at the Nou Camp.
According to the report by Spanish media Don Balon, Messi is happy with Philippe Coutinho who was snapped up from Liverpool in January 2018, and does not want the dressing room dynamic upset.
