- Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has stated that he does not want to return to the Gunners
- The 25-year-old striker is currently on loan at Spanish La Liga side Real Betis
- Campbell has only played 23 games for Arsenal since joining the club in 2011
Arsenal striker Joel Campbell wants to leave the Premier League campaigners at the end of the season as pressure on Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger intensifies.
Since the 25-year-old Costa Rican star joined the Emirates landlords in 2011, he has only made 23 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
Campbell is currently on loan at Spanish side Real Betis, although his spell has been blighted by knee and ankle injuries.
But the player is now determined never to return to his parent club Arsenal at the end of the ongoing Premier League campaign.
“I have not played for a long time and I must go step by step, to keep working hard and not to become frustrated.
“My idea is to stay here for many years but those decisions are not mine.
“I have been lucky enough to enjoy lots of different clubs and leagues but I like it here.
“We want to remain as high as possible in the table and aim for a European spot – we are a great club who deserve to be at that level.
“We must keep working with the coach's philosophy and aim to keep improving, but I believe we are on the right path." Campbell told Radio Seville.
