Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi , has said that he is ready to be rested for less important matches just like Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, Diario Gol reports.
The Argentina international has played 39 matches in all competitons for the Catalan club this season leading them to the top of the table.
The 30-year-old has been instrumental in Barca’s impressive title charge this term as Ernesto Valverde's side are seven points clear of Atletico Madrid in second spot.

The responsibility has fallen so much on Messi since Ousmane Dembele has been plagued with recurring injury to the France international.
Ronaldo, on the other hand, has routinely been left of of Copa del Rey matches including the recent mid week La Liga fixtures with Leganes and Espanyol.
The Portuguese star also had time to recuperate earlier in the season having picked up a lengthy suspension after getting banned for six matches.
Spanish media outlet Diario Gol say Messi is keen to have some time on sidelines as he looks to maintain top gear.
Meanwhile, Real slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Espanyol last night in Catalonia and further lose grip for successfully defending their La Liga title this season.
