- Gareth Bale could complete a move to Chelsea at the end of the ongoing season
- But the Welsh will only move to Stamford Bridge if Chelsea sack Antonio Conte
Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale could be on his way to current Premier League champions Chelsea at the end of the season.
String of long-term injuries has made it difficult for the Welsh star to really settle at Real Madrid since he joined Los Blancos.
Before the close of the January 2018 transfer window, there were reports that Manchester United wanted to sign him after Real apparently grew frustrated with his fitness.
But a deal never materialized and there is now a chance he could return to London where his career really took off at Tottenham.
According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, Bale is wanted at Chelsea, but only if Luis Enrique takes over from Antonio Conte at the end of the season.
“Luis Enrique wants Bale at Chelsea next season,” Inda told El Chiringuito TV.

Antonio Conte has come under mounting pressure this season at Stamford Bridge, and there are talks that Chelsea chiefs would replace him at the end of the season.
The Blues are fifth on the table and are two points behind Tottenham, and if they fail to land a top-four finish at the end of the season, then Conte is expected to be axed with Enrique the favorite to take over.
