- Premier League giants, Manchester United are planning a £100m record signing for Lazio star forward Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
- The deal if pulled through will be the most expensive purchase in English
- Both Lazio and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic have acknowledge interest from top European clubs
Premier League giants, Manchester United are planning a £100m record signing for Lazio star forward Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The deal if pulled through will eclipse the £90m that United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba in 2016, which is still a record purchase for a British club.
United are likely to battle for the signature of the 22-year-old with the likes of fellow European giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
But sources have dismissed reports in Italy that a mystery club already has an offer on the table for Lazio of nearly £160m, plus £18m in add-on clauses.

Speaking about the massive interest from top European clubs Milinkovic-Savic said: “I'm happy at Lazio and am feeling good here for now, but then we will have to see."
Lazio director Igli Tare told Mediaset Premium: “Over the summer we received, and rejected, an offer worth £62million for Milinkovic-Savic.
"We want to make Lazio a point of arrival for players rather than a stepping stone to bigger clubs.
"We have a lot of work to do, but that is our objective.
"The team was built to achieve certain objectives and from now until the end of the season, there will be no more transfer market distractions.
"Rumours in the media are part of the profession and you must learn to live with them.

He added:"We want to win the Coppa Italia and qualify for the Champions League.
"We won’t snub the Europa League, but the principle target must be a top four finish in Serie A."
