Premier League campaigners Manchester United have reportedly slapped a whopping sum of £88 million price tag on their number one goalkeeper David De Gea.
United according to the report by UK Mirror, Manchester United believe that such amount will make Spanish champions Real Madrid to stop their interest in signing the Spaniard.
De Gea was set to move to Real for £35m in the summer of 2015 only to see the move collapse in the final seconds of the window due to technical difficulties.
Real Madrid are still interested in luring him to Bernabeu next season, but they are also eyeing a move for Chelsea goalie Thibaut Courtois should they fail to land De Gea.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo told Real Madrid chiefs to bring Manchester United goalie David De Gea to the camp Nou next season.
The Spanish goalkeeper has for years being a target for Los Blancos, and Ronaldo believes Real Madrid can sign the Spaniard at the end of the season.
According to the report by Don Balon, Ronaldo mentioned the name of David De Gea in a meeting with the club's chiefs as a player he wants to play with next season at the Bernabeu.
