Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is on the verge of extending his stay at the Ethiad Stadium until the summer of 2021 according to reports from The Sun.
The 47-year-old, who joined the current Premier League side in 2016, has one more year on his contract and has been tipped to sign a new three-year deal which will see his annual pay rise from the initial £16 million to almost £19.5 million.
If this deal pulls through, this will be the first time the Spaniard will be signing a contract extension with any club since he began his senior career at Barcelona in 2008, where he spent four years as the head coach.
