The Spain number one is undoubtedly one of, if not the, first names on the team-sheet for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, and now he is set to be rewarded.
Real Madrid are also interested in signing Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea, but De Gea remains their top choice.
And with the improved deal on the table the Spanish giants look set to miss out on the goalkeeper once again.

BT Sport pundit Scholes said: “He’s the best around, there’s no doubt about that. It’s a sensational save.
“He must have saved the team so many points, he’s been the player of the season.”
Speaking about the heroic of De Gea Ferdinand added: "He's outright the best keeper in the world.
"It was unreal, he’s been doing this for a couple years now.
"I celebrated it like it was a goal for Man United. That’s saved United."
