President Muhammadu Buhari has commended Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for his effort to keep the country running smoothly while he was the acting president.
The president said he was happy with the vice president's dedication to service and he invited him to London to personally thank him for a job well done.
Recall that NAIJ.com reported that Osinbajo, who was the acting president from May 7 till August 21, 2017, visited President Buhari in London on July 11 but details of what the two discussed was not made public.

Punch reports that President Buhari, while meeting with governors at the State House, said: “The efforts by the Vice President were commendable. He used his intellect to run all over the place. I was seeing him 24 hours on the Nigerian Television Authority.
“I congratulated him and I allowed him to come and see me to thank him personally for what he has done.”
President Buahri, who returned to Nigeria on August 19 after spending 103 days in London also discussed the protest held in London during his stay by the Concerned Nigerians group, demanding he returned to Nigeria.
Buhari said: “I am very happy with the national prayers that cut across religions and ethnicity; people were praying.
“In fact, some groups in London came and sang the national anthem and asked that I should go back home. Indeed, I have come back home. I hope those who went there are not stuck there; they will come back and join us."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that President Buhari met with leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as those of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The president met with the leaders of the two main parties on Friday, August 25 at the Presidential Villa.
Senator Ahmed Makarfi led the delegation from the opposition party to the meeting.
