The president of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, has met with members of the upper chamber to fashion out ways to quell the tension currently faced by the various zones of Nigeria.
The meeting comes just 10 days to October 1, when the now controversial quit notice from the north as well as the counter threats from the south and other parts of the country would elapse.

Despite this, citizens living outside their original domains have continued to live in fear of attack and reprisals.
The meeting held just as NAIJ.com reported that the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) said it was backing the federal government’s decision to proscribe the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
