Details of the proposed 2018 budget released by the budget office of the federation shows that President Muhammadu Buhari plans to spend N1.001 billion on travels in 2018.
The travel expenses covers both international travels - N751.3 million and local trips which will gulp N250.02 million, Premium Times reports.

The president is also expect to spend another N907 million on the acquisition of new vehicles and spare parts in the presidential fleet during the year.
The budget shows that additional N83.77 million will be spent on tyres for bullet proof vehicles, plain Toyota cars, close circuit vehicles, platform trucks, Land Cruiser and Prado jeeps, Hilux, Peugeot 607, ambulances and other utility and operational vehicles for the presidency.
As for vice president Yemi Osinbajo, the sum of N301.04m was budgeted on general travel for his office, N217.06 million for international travel and N83.97 million for local travel.
The budget sets aside N986.91 million for miscellaneous expenses in the State House.

Other expenses include N476.87 million for general utility services, N274.79 million for electricity charge is and N67.11 million is for internet.
Meanwhile, the federal government has proposed a budget of N4.86bn in the 2018 fiscal year on maintenance of the presidential villa, Abuja in what can be termed a decline when compared to the N4.95bn allocated for annual routine maintenance of villa facilities in the 2017 budget.
This represents a decline of about N90m.
In total, N11.54bn was allocated for the state house headquarters in the proposed 2018 budget with a total capital allocation of N7.1bn and recurrent expenditure of N4.43bn.
The proposal was made up of N3.49tn for recurrent, N2.43tn for capital, debt servicing and statutory transfers among others are estimated at N2.01tn and N456bn respectively.
