The executive arm of the government has proposed to spend N1,030,458,453 on the State House Clinic under President Muhammadu Buhari's 2018 budget proposal.
The president had recently presented a national budget of N51,445,678,808 to the Senate.
The clinic recently came under focus when the president’s wife, Hajia Aisha Buhari, criticised it for lacking basic amenities.

According to a report by The Nation, the breakdown of the State House Medical Centre’s expenditure includes the proposed allocation of N408 million for medical equipment, N146 million for the completion of the dental wing’s extension and N120 million for construction of two blocks of 24 units three bedroom flats.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that details of the proposed 2018 budget released by the budget office of the federation showed that President Muhammadu Buhari plans to spend N1.001 billion on travels in 2018.

The travel expenses covers both international travels - N751.3 million and local trips which will gulp N250.02 million.
The president is also expect to spend another N907 million on the acquisition of new vehicles and spare parts in the presidential fleet during the year.
