British boxer, Scott Westgarth, has died after being rushed to hospital following his fight that he won at the Doncaster Dome on Saturday night, February 24.
The 31-year-old boxer secured points victory over opponent Dec Spelman and even managed to conduct a post-fight interview, before he was eventually rushed to the hospital.

The sad news of Westgarth death was confirmed today, February 26 by promoter Eddie Hearn who tweeted: "Our thoughts and condolences with the family of Scott Westgarth, may he rest in peace."
Images had surfaced on social media of the boxer grimacing during his interview after the fight, clearly in some discomfort.

A number of famous faces from the world of boxing tweeted their prayers for the fighter, with the rest of the show cancelled after he was taken to hospital.
In the aftermath, Woodhouse tweeted: "Prayers are with Scott Westgarth this evening, sometimes with all the hype around boxing you forget how dangerous this sport is. My fight with [Wayne Hibbert] is irrelevant and means nothing compared to life. Fingers crossed Scott is ok."
Woodhouse again took to Twitter on Monday morning February 26, this time writing: "Heartbreaking news about Scott Westgarth. RIP champ."
The news was first confirmed by Westgarth's promoter Stefy Bull shortly after 8am.
"God bless Scott Westgarth," he tweeted. "To promote a boxing show and a young man doing a job he loves losing his life, I have no words.
'RIP lad thoughts go out [to your] family and [your] team it's been the hardest few days I've had to endure no idea what [to] do moving forward.'"

Scott Westgarth was a 31-year-old boxer from Northumberland, his fight record was seven wins from 10 with two draws and one defeat with a 20% KO rate.
He was a light heavyweight and made his debut in 2013, Saturday’s victory gave him four wins in a row.
