The former director of army public relations, Brigadier-General Sani Usman, has formally handed over to Brigadier-General Jude Chukwu who is the new army spokesperson.
The handover occurred at the Army Headquarters Conference Room on Monday, February 26.

NAIJ.com had reported that the army on Thursday, February 22, named Brigadier-General Jude Chukwu as the new director of army public relations.

Meanwhile, the defence headquarters through its spokesperson replied the Yobe state Governor Ibrahim Gaidam for blaming the Nigerian military for the abduction of schoolgirls in Dapchi town by Boko Haram insurgents on Monday, February 19.

Premium Times reports that Agim said the closest military outpost was about 30 kilometres away.
He also said the governor and other Nigerians should understand that the Nigerian military has no capacity to protect all the schools across the region.
The governor said the attack came just days after the military withdrew troops from the town.
