- Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah is hoping to help Liverpool win their first title since 2012
- The 25-year-old has scored 22 league goals this season - 30 in all competitions so far
- And he will be hoping to help his country go far in the 2018 Fifa World Cup tourney in Russia
Egypt international Mohammed Salah has revealed reasons for joining Premier League side Liverpool last summer.
The reigning African footballer of the year sealed a five-year contract with the Reds in July 2017 from AS Roma in a deal valued at £34m million.
And the 25-year-old forward, who has scored 22 goals in 27 league games, says winning the English topflight title with the Anfield outfit remains his major target.
With just two points behind Manchester United on the table, Jurgen Klopp’s men stand a chance to go second temporarily on the table if they beat West Ham in Saturday’s fixture.
"I came to here to win titles," the 25-year-old told Football Focus.

The former Chelsea forward scored in his side’s 5-0 demolition of FC Porto in the first leg of their Champions League fixture in Portugal earlier this month and he has assured their fans that they are working round the clock to ensure they finish the season with a title - their first trophy since 2012.
"I can tell the fans we work 100% to try and win something for the club," he said.
"It's a long time since the club won the league. It's my dream to win the Premier League - but I want to win it with this club."
In addition to his 22 league goals for Liverpool, the Egyptian has also given seven assists in an outstanding start to his Liverpool career - but he reserves praise for his Anfield team-mates.
"It's easy to play with this kind of quality," he said. "If you look at me now and five years ago, everything has changed both mentally and physically.
"I'm trying to improve myself every day. I always like to put myself under pressure to improve more.
"I give all my life to football, I only think about football. This is what is on my mind all the time."
The goal poacher endured a difficult start to his career as a teenager, travelling nine-hour a day from his village in Nagrig to train and play for Arab Contractors (El Mokawloon) in Cairo at the age of 14.

He travelled by bus - sometimes changing five times - and those sacrifices he made as a teenager to follow his dream of reaching the top have paid off.
This summer, Salah will feel the weight of a nation on his shoulders when Egypt take on hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia at the World Cup. It is a challenge he is relishing.
"I gave a lot for football because I wanted to be as professional as possible. I was travelling nine hours a day," said Salah, the 2017 BBC African Footballer of the Year.
"I want all Egyptian people to follow my way to improve themselves. We are a huge country. We have many children. I want everyone to dream and feel they can do something."
Salah has scored a total of 30 goals for Liverpool in all competitions this season, and seven of them are Champions League goals.
