6-year-old Chibok boy Ali Ahmadu, who was reported to have been paralysed about three years ago after a Boko Haram bike man rode on his back, has finally gotten another reason to smile again.
Ahmadu, who met with the Senator Dino Melaye in his Abuja home after he was brought from Borno state, has received the sum of $48,000 (N17, 616,000) from Mabel & Dickens foundation.
The little man was found in Chibok, Borno state by Nuhu Fulani Kwajafa the manager of Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care (GIPLC).

In making sure the boy gets proper healthcare, Kwajafa reached out to Senator Dino Melaye who chaired his fund raising program, donated the sum of N1 million and called on the Nigerian Senate to help Ahmadu get back on his feet again.
The Senate President Bukola Saraki had promised on behalf of the house to foot the medical bills of N19 million for the boy but along the line gave changed their minds and donated the sum of N3.5 million. This made GIPLC officials cancel the initial appointment in Dubai for a later date.
They began looking for money for how to raise the funds until Mable & Dickens foundation came to their rescue. The information was posted on their Facebook handle on Tuesday, August 15.

Kwajafa’s post reads: “This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. A picture is worth a thousand words and sometimes, words can be hopelessly inadequate. Today, on behalf of mabel&dickens foundation, Mr Igho Sanomi has put a massive grin on all our faces and a beautiful song in our hearts. Today, he has declared, Ali Ahmadu CHIBOK will receive comprehensive medical care in the UAE, at a cost of $48,000.00, paid in full. Mr Sanomi has exhibited uncommon and exceptional benevolence, that must be emulated by all, young and old, near and far. If like him, each 1 touches 1, we shall all not just survive, we shall prosper. Our profound gratitude goes to the senate president and his colleagues for their participation in this successful fund raising activity. Our fondest wishes are with everyone else for their prayers and encouragement. God bless the good people of Nigeria.”
