Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state, has revealed why he was among the delegation from the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), that visited ailing President Muhammadu Buhari in London.
Governors on the trip included, Abdullaziz Yari, of Zamfara state, Dave Umahi, Ebonyi, Kashim Shettima, Borno, Abiola Ajimobi, Oyo, Umar Ganduje, Kano, Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Emmanuel, Akwa Ibom state.
Daily Post reports that Emmanuel said the governors went on behalf of “Nigerians to show the President that the entire country loved and wished him well.

''On behalf of all Nigerians, we needed to show him that Nigerians care and we love him as a father and that we care for him, we pray for him’’.

He made this known in Akwa Ibom, the state capital, Emmanuel said with the conclusion of elections in 2015, what leaders owe the people is good governance and not political party interest, adding that the President is the father of the nation.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that seven governors who left Nigeria on Tuesday, July 25 met with President Muhammadu Buhari who was visibly in high spirit as he received them on Wednesday, July 26.
The governors were selected to represent the six geo-political zones in the country and were led by the chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Governor AbdulAziz Yari of Zamfara.
